How it works

Here is how a download gate works on Premierely.

A download gate holds a free track until the fan does something for you first, like follow you on SoundCloud, save your song on Spotify or subscribe on YouTube. The fan finishes each step, and the file opens once every step is done.

  1. Pick the reward: a track on Premierely, a file you upload (MP3 on Free, WAV and FLAC on Plus) or a link.
  2. Add the steps: follow, like, repost or comment on SoundCloud, plus Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Facebook or TikTok.
  3. Share the gate link. Fans finish the steps and download the file.

Common questions about download gates

Do fans need a Premierely account?

No. Fans open the link, connect their SoundCloud in a popup so the actions can be verified, and get the file. Email is only asked when you switch that step on, which is a Plus option.

How many gates can I run free?

Three active gates on the Free plan, with every action on SoundCloud, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Facebook and TikTok and an MP3 reward file. Plus removes the cap and accepts any audio format, WAV and FLAC included.

What can I give away?

A track already on Premierely, an uploaded audio file with the built-in player, or a link that sends the fan anywhere you choose once the actions are done.

What happens to my leads if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted - leads stay stored on every plan. Export and the Plus-only fields become available again the moment you upgrade.

Do SoundCloud download gates still work?

Yes. On Premierely the fan connects SoundCloud in a popup, and the follow, like, repost and comment steps run through that connection before the file opens. Steps on Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Facebook and TikTok open the link for the fan, who marks each one done.
