This guide is for SoundCloud producers and labels who are looking at InfluencePlanner's Superfan gates and want to know exactly what the fan agrees to, and what the other options look like. I built a test gate on Droploud and StillHype on 18 October 2026, read Hypeddit's public notice and pricing, and read InfluencePlanner's public pages and app code, because I could not get inside the product. Signup there is SoundCloud login only, and SoundCloud blocked that login from my test server, so everything I say about InfluencePlanner comes from what it publishes, and I mark it that way.

The short version is that InfluencePlanner asks the fan for an ongoing permission, while Premierely, Droploud, Hypeddit and StillHype each ask for a one-time action per gate. Both models are legitimate choices, and the right one depends on what you want from a fan and what you are comfortable asking of them.

InfluencePlanner Superfan does something the other gates do not, and it is worth understanding exactly what

InfluencePlanner is first a SoundCloud repost scheduling and repost network tool, and Superfan download gates are the second part of the product. Its plans, read from its public plans data on 18 October 2026, are Lite at $7.99 a month or $71.99 a year and Pro at $14.99 a month or $134.99 a year, and gates are included on both. There is no free gate tier, though a partner code from Artist Influence offers a month of Lite free, according to InfluencePlanner's Superfan page.

The part that matters is what the fan signs up for. The fan-facing gate has a tooltip titled "What being a Superfan means" that reads: "When [artist] releases a new track, it'll be automatically liked and reposted from your SoundCloud, so it reaches your followers too. That's what helps each drop chart, and it's why Superfans get the download for free." It then adds: "You can stop anytime by unsubscribing here." That text is from the live gate at https://gate.influenceplanner.com/YBzzVv9S, and the unsubscribe link points to https://influenceplanner.com/superfan/artists.

In plain terms, the fan connects SoundCloud once. From then on, every future release from that artist is liked and reposted from the fan's own account until the fan unsubscribes. On unlock, InfluencePlanner's producer FAQ says fans also follow the artist, like and repost the track, and the producer can add up to eight extra accounts to follow. Where the artist makes Superfan optional, the gate shows a "Become a Superfan" checkbox that starts unticked. Where it is required, the button reads "Support [artist] by becoming a Superfan" and the fan connects with SoundCloud.

The fan has two ways out. One is the one-click unsubscribe page that InfluencePlanner's FAQ describes, and the other is revoking the app in SoundCloud's connected applications settings. InfluencePlanner's terms of service were last updated on 13 June 2026 and name Singularity Research Inc. as the operator. I only skimmed the opening, so read them and the privacy page before you put the link in front of your fans.

With a one-time gate, the fan does a set of actions for one track and the permission is used up. Droploud's gate terms (version 1.1, 28 July 2026) say it gets a short-lived SoundCloud token, performs only the actions the artist enabled, and takes no ongoing actions after the gate. Premierely works the same way. The fan connects in a popup, the follow, like or repost happens once for that gate, and nothing runs later. For Hypeddit and StillHype I am relying on what they publish about per-gate steps, and I did not see either of them describe any later automatic activity.

With Superfan, the permission outlives the gate. That gives the artist something the one-time gates cannot, which is support on every release without asking again. It also asks the fan to trust you with their feed for as long as they stay subscribed. A fan who reads the tooltip and agrees is making an informed choice, and a fan who clicks through quickly may forget they agreed. That is a consent question more than a technical one, and each artist has to answer it for their own audience.

On SoundCloud's side, I would not guess. SoundCloud's API terms decide what automated activity an app may do for a user, and I did not find a primary-source quote of them in my research. StillHype says the terms require automated actions to be "specifically and deliberately initiated by the user", but that is StillHype's framing, so please read SoundCloud's API terms yourself and ask InfluencePlanner how it reads them. InfluencePlanner's site says fans sign in through SoundCloud and that it never sees their SoundCloud password.

Premierely runs one-time gates that are verified through its own SoundCloud API access

Premierely is a premiere booking system for curators that also ships download gates for artists. The fan connects SoundCloud once for that gate, Premierely performs the follow, like, repost or comment through its own approved SoundCloud API access, and the permission ends with the unlock. The Free plan gives you up to 3 active gates with actions on SoundCloud, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Facebook and TikTok (checked 18 October 2026). The SoundCloud steps are the ones verified, and the others rely on the fan clicking through.

Plus is €5 a month billed yearly and adds unlimited gates, any audio format, email capture, SoundCloud handle and follower data, CSV export, branding, a custom domain, webhooks and gate analytics. It also includes launching gates from a chat through the download gate MCP connector. The full list is on pricing.

InfluencePlanner does one thing better than Premierely here. It keeps supporting your releases after the gate, and Premierely does not have a repost network or any ongoing activity. Pick Premierely if you want fans to opt in once per track, you want to see who downloaded, and you want the gate to end when the unlock ends. You can start a gate free.

Droploud is a free discovery platform with gates inside it

Droploud calls itself an underground music platform, and every drop on it is free, according to its site. There are no artist tiers and it makes money from a shop commission, paid promo slots and purchasable Points (checked 18 October 2026). A gate can ask for SoundCloud follows, likes, reposts and comments, plus click-through steps for Spotify, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Beatport. Droploud says SoundCloud actions are enforced through OAuth, and I could not complete a fan unlock to confirm that.

It does more than Premierely on discovery, with charts ranked by download momentum, a feed and an in-app player. It costs nothing and files can be WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3. The caveats are that every fan flow follows @droploudofficial on SoundCloud while that option is on, which is the default, and that you must connect your own SoundCloud before the Publish button turns on. Pick Droploud if you release free edits often and want a scene-facing home for them, not only a gate. Its site is droploud.com.

Hypeddit is the familiar choice, with a changed SoundCloud step

Hypeddit has a free Rookie plan, and its homepage says paid plans start at $14 a month (checked 18 October 2026). In a notice updated 11 June 2026, it said that SoundCloud paused its API connection and that the SoundCloud step is now voluntary, which you can read in its own notice. For the full story, see our post on the SoundCloud download gate change. Other sources quote different paid prices, so check hypeddit.com before you decide. Our Hypeddit alternatives guide covers the Rookie plan limits, and the notice says Hypeddit is "working together on what comes next" with SoundCloud, so this step may change again.

What Hypeddit does better than Premierely is the gate format fans have seen most often, so there is less explaining to do. Pick Hypeddit if you want the tool your audience already knows and you are fine with SoundCloud steps being optional for now.

StillHype is a fast SoundCloud-first beta

StillHype's free plan has 2 active gates with all four SoundCloud actions, one Instagram account and MP3 files up to 50 MB. Pro Artist and Indie Label are both €89.99 a year and add unlimited gates, TikTok, X, YouTube and website steps, playlist follows, files up to 200 MB, CSV export and a hub page (pricing page, checked 18 October 2026). The product is in beta, according to its own banner. StillHype says fans connect through SoundCloud OAuth and that the SoundCloud actions are verified through SoundCloud's API, while its other steps work on the honor system.

It does a few things better than Premierely, including key and BPM fields that DJs will like, a HypeChart for exposure, and a quick gate builder that pulls the title and cover from your SoundCloud link. Pick StillHype if you are a DJ or producer who lives on SoundCloud and wants a gate live in a minute. Its site is stillhype.io.

Pick the tool that matches how you want fans to support you

If you run a repost network or a label and want a recruitment funnel for ongoing support, InfluencePlanner Superfan is built for exactly that, and InfluencePlanner says it gives you unlimited high-res uploads, Meta and TikTok pixels and a repost network in one product. Use it if you are comfortable with the ongoing-permission model, you tell fans plainly what it does, and you have read its terms and SoundCloud's API terms.

If you want fans to act once per release, pick Premierely when you also want lead data and a free plan with 3 gates, Droploud when you want a free home with discovery, Hypeddit when you want the familiar name, and StillHype when you want a quick SoundCloud-first gate with DJ fields. My advice is to match the tool to the promise you can make to your fans.

The same account books premieres if you also run a channel

If you run a SoundCloud channel or a label as well as releasing your own music, the same Premierely account is a premiere booking system, so artists book and pay in one place and one approval publishes the premiere to every channel you run.
