This guide is for SoundCloud producers and DJs who tried StillHype, or read its comparison posts, and want to see what else is worth a look. On 18 October 2026 I built a test gate on StillHype and on every tool below, saved screenshots of each builder and fan page, and wrote down what each one gives you for free.
StillHype is one of the fastest ways to get a SoundCloud gate live, and the alternatives matter if you need more than two free gates, steps on other platforms without paying €89.99 a year, or a product that is out of beta. I build Premierely, so I am one of the four options below, and I tried to be fair to all of them.
StillHype makes a gate in a minute, and the free plan stops at two
StillHype calls itself "SoundCloud Download Gates That Still Work" and it is built around SoundCloud first. In the builder I pasted a SoundCloud link and it filled in the title, cover and artist, and it detected the track's key and has a BPM field, which a DJ will like. The fan page shows an email step and then a locked SoundCloud step. The site carries a beta banner, so expect things to change.
The free plan has two active gates with the four SoundCloud actions (like, repost, comment and follow), one Instagram account per gate, and MP3 files up to 50 MB. Pro Artist and Indie Label are both listed at €89.99 a year and add unlimited gates, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and website steps, playlist follows, files up to 200 MB, CSV export and a hub page (checked 18 October 2026, StillHype pricing). StillHype's own blog quotes a different price of $12 a month or $99 a year, so check the pricing page before you pay.
StillHype says its SoundCloud steps are verified against the SoundCloud API through the fan's login and that its other steps run on the honor system, where the fan clicks through and confirms. I could not finish a fan-side SoundCloud login from my test server, so I saw the step but did not test whether the file stayed locked.
StillHype's July comparison post says Premierely's free plan has no gates and that gates need the €10 a month tier. That is out of date. Premierely's free plan includes up to three active download gates, and you can check it on the pricing page.

Premierely gives you three free gates and steps on seven platforms
Premierely is a premiere booking system for music curators that also ships download gates for artists. The free plan gives you up to three active gates, which is one more than StillHype's free plan, with actions on SoundCloud, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Facebook and TikTok. The SoundCloud follow, like, repost and comment steps are checked through Premierely's own approved SoundCloud API access, where the fan signs in with OAuth and PKCE (checked 18 October 2026, pricing).
Plus is €5 a month billed yearly, which works out below StillHype's €89.99 a year, and it removes the gate limit. It adds email capture, the fan's SoundCloud handle and follower data, CSV export, branding, a custom domain, webhooks and gate analytics. You can also launch gates by chatting with an AI assistant through the MCP connector.
The caveat is that StillHype has DJ touches, like key and BPM fields, which Premierely's gate builder does not have. The non-SoundCloud steps on Premierely are click-through, so they are trust-based like StillHype's honor-system steps. Pick it if you want more than two free gates, or YouTube, Spotify or TikTok steps on the free plan. The download gate page shows the full setup.
GateRush is the cheapest paid tier and a clean fan page
GateRush (gaterush.me) is made in Italy. According to its homepage, the free plan covers SoundCloud like, repost, comment and follow for one playlist and one account, plus one Instagram account, one Spotify account, email collection, CSV export and unlimited MP3 uploads. Pro is listed at €22 a year at its launch price, half the €44 list price, with a monthly option also shown (checked 18 October 2026, GateRush). The prices came from the homepage listing and I could not confirm them in a logged-in account.
Compared with StillHype it gives you Spotify on the free plan, per-platform skip toggles for fans and Meta and TikTok pixels on Pro. It has fewer platforms overall than StillHype's paid plan, with no TikTok, X or YouTube steps that I could find. The fan flow I saw asks for a name and email and then shows a Connect SoundCloud step. Pick it if you want a cheap paid tier, Spotify on the free plan and a clean page for fans.
Droploud is free because the gate sits inside a bigger music site
Droploud describes itself as an underground music platform, and every drop on it is free. Gates share the site with charts ranked by download momentum, a feed and a shop. According to Droploud there is no paid tier, and it earns from shop commission and paid promo slots (checked 18 October 2026, Droploud). Files can be MP3, WAV, FLAC or AIFF, up to 300 MB, which is more than StillHype's free 50 MB.
The trade is that a follow of @droploudofficial is added to every fan flow by default, and you must connect your own SoundCloud before you can publish. I reached that connect step and could not finish it from my server. If you want the discovery audience, that is a fair price. If you want a gate that is only about your own account, it is not. Droploud does discovery and cost better than Premierely, with a chart to be found in and nothing to pay. Pick it if you release free edits often and want scene-facing exposure on top of the gate.
Fangate.eu is free forever and bundles fanlinks and pre-saves
Fangate.eu is made in France, has run since 2018, and is hosted in the EU. It says it is free forever with no paid tiers and no gate limits (checked 18 October 2026, Fangate.eu). The builder is a three-step wizard with twelve step types across SoundCloud, Spotify, Instagram and email capture, and it also makes fanlinks and pre-save pages, takes donations and gives you Instagram share images for each gate.
The caveat is the mechanism. The fan page shows a "Log in on SoundCloud" step, and Fangate says every action is verified before the file unlocks, but I found no page that explains how, and I did not complete the fan login to test it. In the builder I saw one Instagram step, a profile visit, and no YouTube or TikTok steps. See Fangate.eu alternatives.
Pick it if you want gates, fanlinks and pre-saves for no money and EU hosting matters to you.
Pick the tool that matches how you release music
If you are a DJ or producer who lives on SoundCloud and wants a gate in a minute, StillHype is still a good pick, especially while two gates are enough. If you need more than two free gates or want YouTube, Spotify or TikTok steps without a yearly fee, pick Premierely. If price is the main thing and you want a tidy fan page, pick GateRush. If you release free edits all the time and want exposure, pick Droploud. If you want fanlinks and pre-saves in the same free account, pick Fangate.eu.
